Passion for GOOD EleCTRIC INSTALL COMES FROM LOVING the Sea and Nature

Wanting to introduce his family to life at sea and the incredible marine nature, company founder Markus Reinikka bought a Swedish made Vindö 65 ketch built in 1978. It is an extremely seaworthy 39’ yacht which looks like adventure. We fell instantly in love with her.

However, being the custodian of a 40+ year old boat brought up some obvious maintenance challenges. Even though the hull was in excellent condition, the systems were not. Particularly the DC electric system and wiring needed updating. Being an engineer and with considerable industry experience Markus began the task of identifying components to do the new install with. He was quite surprised to find only a limited number of components and no systemic install furniture, which is typically available and very advanced in AC installations.

At first the intent he decided to make a system for his boat from components used in automation and in AC system installations. At some point he realized that it the amount of work and expertise needed to configure a DC system with components available at the time was significant and that everyone else probably had the same problem.

From that realization started a 6 year development of the SimplyDC system, which lead to founding the company in early 2024.

Today SimplyDC is a growing startup with focus solely on manufacturing and marketing the best DC install system on the market bringing our customers ease of use and installation with a safe and high quality installation outcome. And with the highest return of investment for the installer or DIY installer.

Our products were developed for the Marine, but work equally well in any DC system which has a battery. Key application areas include Off-Grid, Mobile and Industrial applications.

Our products could be used equally well in mobile small scale power plants based on solar or wind energy in disaster relief scenarios or in industrial applications where a remotely installed DC system needs installation hardware.
